Project Overview

Good video editing can make the difference between a viewer clicking away and staying till the end. I worked as a video editor for two YouTube brands, The Criminal Justice Realm (@tcjrproductions) and The Wall Behind and Beyond Podcast. For both brands, I edited long-form and short-form videos that helped them look more professional, grow their audience, and publish content faster.

Objectives

The primary objectives for this project were:

Edited long-form and short-form videos for the channel. Kept a consistent editing style across all content so the channel looked clean and professional. Also designed thumbnails that matched the brand and encouraged people to click.

Edited biweekly long-form and short-form podcast episodes. Focused on pacing, clear audio, and smooth transitions so each episode was easy and enjoyable to watch. Delivered every episode on time to keep the brand’s upload schedule consistent.

  • Thumbnail Design

Designed thumbnails for The Criminal Justice Realm that clearly showed what each video was about and stood out in YouTube search results.

  • Editing & Workflow

Used a precise and efficient editing process for both brands, cutting unnecessary footage, fixing audio, tightening pacing, and delivering clean final videos faster than before.
